Meta new monetization tools

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced that the company is launching more ways for creators to monetize on Facebook and Instagram, and is also expanding some of its existing monetization tools to include: more creative people. Zuckerberg also said that for more money directly to creators, Meta will be offering its upcoming paid online events, fan subscriptions, badges, and  independent news products for free. for creators until 2024. The company  previously said it would do so. until 2023.  

 Zuckerberg announced that Meta is testing a designated location on Instagram where creators can be discovered and paid for content. Meta notes that the Creators Market allows brands to share new partnership opportunities. Once a brand finds a creator  they want to work with, they can send them a project with details, including delivery and payment information. Meta notes that there will be a collaborative messaging directory in Instagram DMs where creators and brands can filter  their offers and projects. 

 It should be keep in mind that Meta's position in its Creator Marketplace appears to be similar to TikTok's Creator Marketplace, which is the video app's internal influencer marketing platform. TikTok's Creator Marketplace allows brands to discover TikTok's top  personalities for their marketing campaigns, something Meta seems to be looking to do with its own Creator Marketplace. It's clear that Meta's Creators Market will be part of their ongoing efforts to take on TikTok and attract more creators to their platform.  Meta is also rolling out interactive subscriptions to allow creators to grant their paid subscribers on other platforms access to subscribers-only Facebook groups. The company notes that these exclusive groups are Meta's first investment in interactive monetization tools for creators, allowing creators to receive payments from their fans across platforms. other platforms and provide access to exclusive features on Facebook. 

  As for the company's existing monetization services, Zuckerberg announced that Meta is opening  the Facebook Reels Play Bonus program to more creators on Facebook and also allowing creators to post their Instagram Stories. on Facebook and monetize them. The Reels Play Bonus program is  part of Meta's largest $1 billion creative fund.  

 From next week, US-based creators can apply for the Facebook Reels Play rewards program if they've created more than five videos and garnered at least 100,000 views in the last 30 days. Creators must comply with the Partner Monetization Policy and the Meta Content Monetization Policy to be eligible for the program. Prior to this expansion, the program was invite-only. Meta says it has attracted a lot of interest in the program and is now allowing anyone to apply for the program.  

 Zuckerberg also announced that Meta is opening  Facebook Stars,  virtual entries that allow fans to show support for their favorite creators, to all eligible creators. Starting this week, creators with at least 1,000 followers in the last 60 days will be eligible to participate. Creators must be located in the Star region  and must also comply with the Partner Monetization Policy and the Meta Content Monetization Policy. Meta will also bring back Stars Fest, a month-long celebration from June 15 to July 15 in recognition of the creators of the Stars. 

 "We're aiming for a future where more people can do the creative work they love, and I want platforms like ours to play some part in making that happen." Zuckerberg said in a Facebook post about announcement.
